In a bizarre partnership that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden cult.

The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Changes

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
