I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
